In the Potter's Hands
Three year theme based on Isaiah 64:8
2007-2008: "Mold Me" (Jer. 18:6)
2008-2009 "Fill Me" (Eph. 3:16-19)
2009-2010 "Use Me" (Eph. 2:10)

Greetings!

As Women’s Ministries go forward this year, I would urge each of you to keep in mind the theme selected by the Networking Team of the General Conference CGWM for the next 3 years: “In the Potter’s Hands” based on Isaiah 64:8. This year’s specific theme, “In the Potter’s Hands: Mold Me” has as its key verse, Jeremiah 18:6.

We are encouraging women to consider how God wants to mold each of us into the vessel of His design. As we are turned on His potter’s wheel, we may find His hands reshaping our lives, reworking our goals and priorities and sometimes even giving us a totally new beginning. My prayer for all women in the Churches of God this year is that we each will be pliable clay in the Master’s hands, allowing him to mold our lives as only He can.

One of the ways God has provided for us to be molded into His image is through the ministry of mentoring, another area we would encourage your Women’s Ministries to pursue this year. The Scriptures are replete with examples of more mature believers coming alongside younger believers and helping them to grow in their faith. Carolyn Martin, a former President of Women’s Ministries, has prepared information to help you begin or enhance this vital ministry among the women of your church. Click here to get her worksheets.

In everything we do, our goal should be to reveal God’s love to the world so that everyone everywhere will be drawn to Christ.

Here is to a productive and rewarding year for your CGWM as you are molded in the Master's hands,

Linda Rosenberry
